1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the SolveMath mobile application and website at solvemathsci.com (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

SolveMath is an AI-powered STEM homework assistance tool that allows users to photograph problems and receive step-by-step solutions verified by deterministic mathematical computation. The Service covers Math, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Statistics.

3. User Accounts

• You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
• You must be at least 13 years old to create an account, or have parental consent.
• One person may not maintain more than one free account.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service to cheat on proctored exams or violate your institution's academic integrity policies.
• Submit content that is illegal, harmful, or violates the rights of others.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of the application.
• Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access the Service beyond normal usage.
• Resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit the Service or its outputs without written permission.

5. Subscriptions and Payments

• SolveMath offers a free tier with a daily solve limit and paid subscription plans with additional features.
• Subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store, Google Play Store, or our website via Stripe.
• Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
• Refunds are handled according to the policies of the respective app store or payment processor.
• We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice to existing subscribers.

6. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, code, AI models, branding, and content, is owned by SolveMath and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of the problems you submit. We claim no ownership over your input content.

7. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

SolveMath uses artificial intelligence to generate solutions. While we employ multi-model consensus and deterministic verification to maximize accuracy, AI-generated content may occasionally contain errors. The Service is intended as a study aid and should not be the sole basis for academic, professional, or safety-critical decisions. Always verify important results independently.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SolveMath shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for violation of these Terms, with or without notice. You may delete your account at any time through the app settings or by contacting support. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.

10. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated through the app or via email. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
